The Center for Adolescent Literacies will continue its collaboration with Promising Pages in the Summer 2016 by providing training to the Team Read Ambassadors on June 15, 2016.

This will be the fifth year for Promising Pages Team Read Ambassadors program and third year that the Center has collaborated to provide training. Team Read Ambassadors brings together high school and college students to take books to chlidren in our community. Team Read Ambassadors read and share books so that children with limited resources can build their own libraries.

Promising Pages' mission is to "that takes books others have outgrown and gives them new life. We partner with Social Service Agencies, Title I Schools, and other organizations to get books and revolutionary programming to kids who need it! Our mascots, Erm the Bookworm and Erma the Bookworma, place these books directly into the hands of children.  Our books and programs have the potential to turn ordinary children into enthusiastic bookworms!"
